Essence oils are blends of pure essential oils with one of our exclusive crystallized essences. They are natural perfume oils that were created with specific attributes in mind and are therefore more than simple perfumes or fragrance oils.

Our amber oils are true to the original Amber Essence and are perfect for adding an amber fragrance component to massage oils, body oils, lotions, creams, soaps and other cosmetics.

Essence oils are produced at our facility in the coastal mountains of California, by hand and in small batches. We begin by extracting the oil from one of the crystallized essences, filtering out the solid particles, and finally adding pure essential oils and mixed tocopherols (vitamin E) to the formula.

Our process takes weeks to manufacture every batch and we use only certified organic extraction and carrier oils: high oleic acid sunflower oil and jojoba oil. In addition to being organically grown, both of these carrier oils are expeller pressed and both are very resistant to oxidation, which means they will remain fresh for a very long time.

By integrating our traditionally processed essences with natural essential oils recognized for their beneficial and sensual qualities and by using certified organic carrier oils, Eden Botanicals is able to produce natural body fragrances that we believe are unparalleled in today’s marketplace. Unlike other companies that make perfume oils or fragrance oils, we provide our customers with a complete ingredient list for all of our essence oils.

A true essence oil of amber should contain high quality amber resins made in the traditional way. Amber resins are semisolid essences composed of various resins, essential oils, botanical extracts and wax. The basis of amber resin is Styrax tree resin from the benzoin tree, Styrax benzion or Styrax tokinensis.

Amber Essence Oil made by Eden Botanicals is a true amber oil in that it is made from two types of fragrant amber resins - Amber Essence and Premium Dark Amber, both extracted in certified organic, high oleic acid sunflower oil.

To this amber oil base we add certified organic patchouli and certified organic vetiver essential oils mixed with organic jojoba oil and natural vitamin E (mixed tocopherols). Sandalwood CO2 extract is also added.

This produces our Amber Essence Oil which has no equal. There are no synthetic ingredients added to the oils that we make. There is no alcohol, propylene glycol, ethylene glycol, preservatives, colorings, ambergris, etc. added. The essential oils that we add to the extracted amber oil are found in the original amber resin formula. They are there so as to help create a deep, full-bodied and harmonious oil, not to add anything new and different to the original amber aroma.
